Woven from the roots of the mountain. Crafted by the hands of time.
This light beige crossbody bag is handcrafted by Akha women—a branch of the Hani ethnic group—deep in the mountains of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. Made entirely from wild kudzu vine, the process is long and soulful: gathering the vine, peeling, soaking, spinning, hand-twisting into fiber, and then weaving or crochet by hand.
Each bag is made in small batches by elder women in their spare time, making it rare and precious.
Delicate embellishments like pom-poms, tassels, Job’s tears seeds, and seashells bring lively movement and artistic texture, giving the bag a soft, spirited charm rooted in earth and ritual.
